A joyful moment in education

There aren't many of these moments but today 14 people from schools, colleges and health came to a session about our new EdD. I had asked three people studying EdDs to talk about why and how they got there, and it was great to hear talk of critical approaches but also the life changing aspects of doctoral study, and, wait for it, the excitement of the educational journey. Three very different people sharing their experiences, and a group eager to ask them questions. I felt, albeit briefly, heartened and remembered why I went into teaching.
